Intensive, 1 Store There are 100 CD CD Pirated Software

JAKARTA - Two perpetrators of piracy from the two stores in Mall Ambasador, Jakarta, South Jakarta Police secured. There are at least 222 pieces of pirated digital disc that is secured from both actors.

From the store's first offender initials AMS, acquired 122 CDs. While from a store owned by two actors who had the initials I, acquired 100 pieces. The suspects have been proven melakuikan crime by selling pirated CD's.

"The offenses occurred on Thursday, December 1, 2011. So, the South Jakarta Police ransacked their stores because they distribute, transmit, publicly display, or sell an item or creation of copyright infringement (piracy)," said Chief of Police Public Relations sub-section South Jakarta, the AKP Aswin, in Mapolres South Jakarta, Tuesday (12/06/2011).

He explained that the confiscated software is software used for computer programs.

Currently the police are still tracing the network actors to reveal more information.

"It's still under investigation," added Aswin.

The perpetrators of piracy are subject to article 72 paragraph 2 of Act 19 of 2002 on copyright with a maximum of 5 years imprisonment or a maximum fine of Rp 500 million.
