Upon completion of the acquisition of Motorola Mobility, Google will keep the software free of charge to the vendor's Android phones. This was revealed by chief executive of Google, Eric Schmidt.
"The deal to buy Motorola Mobility will not violate the openness of Android, and the company will be run independently," says Schmidt.
Reported by Bloomberg, on Tuesday (8/11/2011), Google has agreed to buy Motorola Mobility in August with a value of USD12, 5 billion. This agreement aims to help Google faces competition in the mobile phone market with Apple. So that more than 17 thousand patents Google, can be used to protect software platform Andorid.
In addition Google also will support the local software maker in South Korea, it was conveyed in a meeting with South Korean President Lee Myun Bak.
