Actually, Facebook has set a minimum age to each of its members when they want to create an account, namely 13 years. But a new report shows millions of children under the age has been engineered to create a social networking account of the world's largest.
The severity of the child lies to create a Facebook account instead assisted by their own parents. Most of these children was ten years old. This report shows 95 percent of parents were aware of what their children do on Facebook, and 78 percent of their states to help their children do lie.
"Although many social networks that restrict access to minors, but our data shows parents knowingly allow their children to lie. Even in reality, parents often help their children to do so in order to gain access to the site even though the violation of the provisions, "the researchers wrote, as quoted by TG Daily, Thursday (11/03/2011).
"This usually happens on social networking and communication services such as Facebook, Gmail and Skype, which allows children to relate to peers, classmates and their family members by reason of education, social or family," said the researcher.
No doubt most of the kids perform this action because of support from their parents, but this is a risky action.
The study also found 55 percent of active Facebook users are those aged 12 years, 32 percent aged 11 years and 19 percent aged 10 years.
