A number of features presented here, among other Facebook Facebook Chat, ticker feeds and notifications. ZDNet reported and quoted on Friday (12/30/2011), this application was developed entirely by Facebook and does not involve Microsoft in the making.
Actual application has been tested in November and this only works for Windows 7. The launch is the release followed a similar application for IOS, Android and BlackBerry.
"We kept trying to make up for Messenger is easily accessible from different platforms," said a spokeswoman for Facebook. "Messenger is available for iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and now we present it for Windows, a new desktop application," added Facebook.
With a desktop client, users can still chat while browsing, without having to open Facebook.com. By default it is made unlocked, so that users can pan and move it on screen.
