Developing fails, Google Back Close its Services

Google continues to shut down some services that are performing poorly, the company announced on Tuesday that Friend Connect, Knol and some other services will be closed.

"We are in the process of closing a number of products that do not have the impact our expectations," said vice president of operations Urs Holze Googlem in a blog post.

Reported by PC World, on Wednesday (23/1/201), penjadi Friend Connect will most likely be closed. These services enable websites, including social features on their sites so that visitors can do things like add a comment, sig-in, see other users and vote in the polls.

Not long after Google unveiled Friend Connect in 2008, Facebook is blocked so that users can not access the data and argued that the services will redistribute Facebook data without user consent. These services compete with similar services from Facebook, Facebook Connect.

The search engine company will also close Serch Timeline, which can display historical graphs results for search queries. But people can still see the search results from a specific time period by using the tools that appear on the left side of the search page.

Users can find other information search trends by visiting google.com / trends or google.com / insights / search /.

Google also closed the Renewable Energy Cheaper, because the rate of other organizations better suited to investigate solar power technology.

Knol, a service like Wikipedia that allow people to collaborate to write articles also will be closed. Google has also started another publishing platform called Annotum.
