Red Apple logo in question Apple

It's the logo, a giant computer company in the U.S., Apple, warned a small cafe located in Germany. The cafe was also on the defensive that red apple logo with the child's face in it it was forbidden fruit.

But Apple gave warning to the small cafe in Bonn, namely Apfelkind, Tuesday (1 / 11).

The owner of the cafe, Christin Romer, has made application for a trademark for its logo. But Apple is demanding that he withdraw it. But the battle even more intense because Romer keukeuh retain its logo.

Romer opened the cafe in May and received warning letters from companies based in California last month. In the letter told Romer that Apple customers are believed to be confused between the Apple logo already famous in the world with the logo of cafés.

Nonetheless, Romer did not pull its logo. He told the German newspaper "The Local" would not accept the request of Apple. "I will not accept it. At first I did not believe the letter - then I call my lawyer".

"I want to do something like Starbucks, and it has my logo as a trademark. I'm even thinking of expanding and creating a franchise business so others could open up another cafe Apfelkind, which is why I want to register a trademark," he said.

Romer uses red apple logo on a pillow, glasses, chairs, and bike delivery.

"I'm almost flattered to hear from Apple. I love Apple products. I am glad I am not concerned about the design and technical. I set my cafe with my iPhone and Apple laptops," said Romer.

This case will be decided by the patent office of Munich, but in the meantime, Romer explained that the entanglement Apple good for business, with many customers come to show their support.

Apple has yet to comment on the matter.

Last year, New York City should change the apple logo on the 'GreeNYC' after the computer company Apple argues that it would cause confusion.

And in 2006, Apple Computer won a legal battle with the record label of The Beatles 'Apple Corps' over the use of the apple logo used to advertise the iPod music player. Apple Corps, owned by Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison's widow and John Lennon, claiming they had violated an agreement to be outside the music business.

Both companies have approved the 'field of use' Apple logo on a dispute that has been running since the early eighties. In 1991, the treaty gives trademark Corps exclusive use of the logo for the record business.

Then in 2001, clashes erupted with legal action with the launch of iTunes Music Store line. At the trial, Apple Corps is demanding Apple Computer stop using the trademark and pay a percentage of the profits.
