Turn off command Beware Facebook Account

New fraud scam or phishing scams that take advantage of the method was aiming Facebooker. According to security firm Sophos, phishing emails are asking Facebook users turn off their accounts.

As if the official sent from Facebook, the message is a warning that if the user does not follow orders then they lost all account details will be gone within 24 hours.

Reported by Times of India, Thursday (11/24/2011), accused the victim of this phishing message had violated regulations by disrupting the Facebook policy of other Facebook users. The message then asks detailed personal and financial information of the user, including username and password Facebook.

However, as mentioned at Sophos, an email is fraudulent and not from Facebook. "Social media will not ask for personal financial information, and your username and password," wrote Sophos. Not to forget, in the Sophos report also includes two examples of scam messages that warrant concern.

LAST WARNING: Your account is reported to have violated the Policies That are Considered annoying or insulting Facebook users. Until the system We Will disable your account within 24 hours if you do not do the reconfirmation.

It was fake Facebook messages there that reads as below.


Subject: Did you log into Facebook from somewhere new?

Dear [username removed]

Your Facebook account was recently logged into from a computer, mobile device or other location you've never used before. We have Reviewed your account activity, and We get information about possible unauthorized access to your Facebook. We have provided a warning to you via email, but you do not respond to our notification.

"Your account was accessed from a new location: Anonymous Proxy."

If you are not signing into your Facebook account from "Anonymous Proxy", your Facebook account may have been compromised. We recommend IMMEDIATELY verify your account by carefully on the links below to protect your Facebook account. It may take a Few hours of your time to complete your data.

Please be sure to visit the Facebook Service Account for Further Information Regarding these security issues.

Note: If within 12 hours, you have not verified your account, then you have ignored our notifications. Therefore, your account is Permanently suspended, and will not be reactivated for any reason.

In essence, this form of fraud aimed at stealing confidential victim information such as usernames, passwords, bank account or credit card numbers. To that end, Sophos warned that Facebook users aware of the messages of this kind.
